The group will meet virtually for 75 minutes every week starting September 25 to November 20, 2024.

Objectives:
  • Help members reflect on how their narratives have been shaped by God; Filipino and Filipino American history, culture, family, identity, etc.
  • Raise members’ awareness of how colonial mentality may impact their daily lives (e.g., thoughts, emotions, behaviors)
  • Build community and support with Filipino American participants and ministers around the U.S. and throughout the diaspora
  • Gain knowledge and skills to counteract colonial mentality (i.e., to decolonize) through guided reflection on Filipino American studies, thought logs, spiritual practices, and peer empowerment through storytelling
